Just Jared just added these awesome scans (all of which can be found by clicking the two pics above) with a little of Jessica’s interview:
On her workout routine: “Bubble butts, like my dad and I have, run in my family! To tone up, I do jump lunges and squat jumps. They make me want to vomit, but they’re the best for getting my legs in shape.”
On why she started The Honest Company: “I found my daughter Honor sitting in her crib, eating these tiny beads from the inside of her diaper. They were all over her face. It was a moment of terror.”

Photos Video Interview: Marie Claire June 2012 Cover Shoot
A cover and a gorgeous shoot outtake (trying to find the rest!) from the June 2012 issue of Marie Claire!
“I started working on this three and a half years ago,” Alba tells me. “I took a year off from acting when I had Honor, and I was home with her, diapering her, cleaning up after her, and I had a real frustration that I couldn’t find healthy, nontoxic, and affordable products that actually worked. So I decided I needed to do something about it while my family and friends have young children.” Yet despite Alba’s best efforts to come across as just another mom, she is—let’s face it—anything but. As she leads meREAD MOREto a conference room, I can’t help but stare at her enviable form and wonder: Is that what jet-black J Brand skinny jeans are supposed to look like on a human body? Would those Margiela for Opening Ceremony black boots make my legs look that long? If I ran out and bought an identical rose-gold channel-set diamond ring that spans two fingers, would that technically make me a stalker or just an admirer?

News: Jessica Says, ‘I lie to my children to keep them safe’
Don’t all parents do this, though?
Jessica Alba has confessed that she sometimes lies to her children to keep them safe.
The Sin City actress revealed that she tells her 3-year-old daughter Honor Marie that everybody is hounded by the paparazzi.
“When the paparazzi follow us, and she asks me what they’re doing, I tell her, ‘They’re just taking pictures. Isn’t that silly?’” Alba told Parenting.
“I don’t want her to have anxiety, so I tell her they do that to everyone, not just our family,” she continued.
The 30-year-old went on to say that she lies about soda as well, telling her daughter that drinks like Coca-Cola are only for grown-ups.
“I serve Honor flavoured sparkling water – she thinks that it’s soda and that’s what I let her think,” Alba said. “I told her that ‘brown soda’ is only for adults and she believes me. Ha!”

News: Jessica takes on New Role: Internet Entrepreneur
Flyby news story:
Jessica Alba Launches Honest.com
Jessica Alba’s not just a movie and TV star – now she’s also an Internet entrepreneur, testing out her new role at the Montgomery Tech Conference where she pitched her business model to investors and the other 190 startups here.
She co-founded The Honest Company, (honest.com) a subscription service for non-toxic baby supplies, like diapers, wipes, bubble bath and detergent, which launched in January.
Alba decided she wanted to create a new line of baby products when she discovered that many of the supposedly kid-friendly products she used on her now four-year-old were full of dangerous chemicals. She told me she couldn’t believe how expensive truly non-toxic products are, and how hard it is to find them.
She teamed with serial entrepreneur Brian Lee, co-founder of LegalZoom, who suggested making it a subscription service. That allows the company to avoid the hassle of dealing with retailers, while making it easier to manage inventory. Alba liked the fact that the direct-to-consumer model allows her to keep prices down – she wants to build a truly mainstream baby brand.
As CEO of Honest, Lee is building on his success with subscription retail as well as celebrities. He’s a co-founder of monthly subscription service ShoeDazzle, along with Kim Kardashian, who’s also the company’s chief style guru. That monthly shoe service, which also allows consumers to opt-out whenever they want, is bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, and the buzz here at Montgomery is that ShoeDazzle is headed to an IPO in the next year or so.
Alba’s venture just launched in January, but with her star power helping spread the word, Lee hopes Honest will grow just as fast.

News: Jessica says, ‘I’m a disciplinarian’
Flyby news story:
When it comes to parenting, a good-cop, bad-cop method is the best way to tackle tantrum-prone tots. At least, according to Jessica Alba, who says that she’s a “disciplinarian” when it comes to daughters Honor and Haven.
She explained that out of her and husband Cash Warren, she’s the one to lay down the law: “I’m the disciplinarian. I think it’s because I was kind of a naughty kid myself – I’d push my parents’ buttons and test them to see how much I could get away with.”
She told Parenting magazine: “Cash, meanwhile, was always the perfect kid – the straight-A student who was everyone’s sweetheart. It was never in him to be naughty. I think I just know, from me being that other kind of child, how to cut off bad behaviour and redirect it.”
Just like Britain’s own Supernanny, she wields the infamous naughty step – instead, there’s no step involved, and it’s called a “time out”. It’s probably a bit easier to tell a kid off if you a) aren’t near any stairs b) live in a bungalow: “When Honor tries to do something she shouldn’t, I have to say to Cash: ‘Let her know right from the beginning that she can’t’.
“I’ll put her in time-out and tell her, ‘Think about the choices you’ve made’.”
And though Cash is lacking in the strictness department, he’s a hands-on dad: “Cash is a super dad. If I’m with Haven, he’ll make Honor’s lunch or take her to the park. They see movies or draw together – she’ll even watch sports with him.”
The kids are still young, though – Haven’s seven months and Honor is six years old – let’s see if they’ll still want to watch sports with their daddy in ten years’ time!

News: Jessica Says, ‘I Was a Naughty Kid!’
Me, too, Jessica!
Jessica Alba is dishing on her experiences of being a mother to Parenting magazine for their April issue, where the stunning actress shares the cover with her adorable daughters Honor, 3, and five-month-old Haven.
In the lengthy interview, she reveals that between her and her husband (producer Cash Warren), she is the disciplinarian.
“I think it’s because I was kind of a naughty kid myself: I’d push my parents’ buttons and test them to see how much I could get away with,” she reveals. “I think I just know, from me being that other kind of child, how to cut off bad behavior and redirect it. So when Honor tries to do something she shouldn’t, I have to say to Cash, ‘Let her know right from the beginning that she can’t.’”
Jessica Alba: I’m Not Perfect
Another topic she isn’t shy about discussing is how she got her famous physique back so quickly after giving birth to her second child.
“I put on a lot of weight with [my firstborn] Honor; it took a long time to get back in shape,” she admits. “My husband made bacon for me every morning, and at night we ordered a minimum of five desserts.”
Pregnant Jessica Alba on Choosing Baby Names
But it was completely different with her second child Haven.
“[By then] I had a toddler to take care of and I was starting this business [The Honest Company], so I made healthier food choices, did prenatal yoga,” the enviably slim Jessica says, who now counts her triple-nonfat latte as her biggest indulgence.
Besides sharing how she got her pre-baby body back, she is also forthcoming on some of her surprising parenting tips, one being that “kids don’t always have to know the truth.”
“When the paparazzi follow us, and [Honor] asks me what they’re doing, I tell her, ‘They’re just taking pictures. Isn’t that silly?’,” she explains about one of her little white lies. “I don’t want her to have anxiety, so I tell her they do that to everyone, not just our family.”
